Every year, the restaurateurs of the "Sundgau Fried Carp Route" association invite you to celebrate the arrival of spring in Sundgau with the Carpailles !
Fried carp is the typical Sundgau dish and gave its name to the route through southern Alsace, making it a must for gastronomic tourism in our region, which is considered to be a remarkable culinary location.
Like the “Cochonnailles” pork-related events, restaurants participating in the operation invite you to come and enjoy carp cooked in a thousand ways.
You will discover cordons bleus or even blanquettes of carp, and the more adventurous can try maki, carpaccio or popcorn carp ! The chef-owners draw on all their creativity to present carp as you have never seen it, accompanied by “Golden Carp”, a white wine from the Wolfberger estate.
Given the growing success of the Carpailles – a thousand dishes were sold by the eight restaurants participating in the event in 2012 - since 2013 we offer special Carpailles breaks! After enjoying a good meal, you can extend your stay in Sundgau for a night at one of the hotels or B & Bs that are partners of the event.
